I think Glimmering Mark won't be like, something meta to take, but it's still PRETTY GOOD. Throw it on a monk you have another warrior attacking for some added DoT pressure, then focus the rest of your crap on the other Monk or whatever.
Also Thunderclap IS awesome.

That's what I said, LT has always been terribad.
The update, once again, didn't address all the problems. As C2K already stated, SoM nerf was the only good thing here.
And I would play some DIII if it just was released.

Don't forget Signet of Rage!
I think they'll address the issues next month and probably add the new HA maps maybe...I'm thinking the big part of the PvP update was the new VoD and seeing how that goes.

Yeah I agree with 2&3. Why is he a bodyguard if he doesn't do shit? I'd totally fire my bodyguard if he just stood there while I died....
I'm not sure about 1. NPCs are still worth something, just not to the new VoD game. They are definitely worth something before the new VoD kicks in.
EDIT:
Though I agree I wish they did something at the new VoD like they did before. Before they were meaningful before VoD and after VoD, here its just before....but I dunno what they can do to remedy that beyond making them walk too, which is not really what he wants.
EDIT:
To expand on my point, NPCs are useful pre new VoD because they help stop you from attacking the lord. Splitting to attack the lord pre-VoD is now very useful because he has less health so he will die a bit faster, but more importantly it gives you a possible game winning lead at 28m.
Though that's only a last ditch thing, with the new buffs I doubt many games will stay til 28m.

To be honest this change has to be the best thing that's happened to GvG since I started playing.

So to cap on what we just saw with this update:
Rangers: RaO untouched, inc. arrows is now a burning barrage that doesn't remove preps, expert's dexterity made an already retarded ranger spike able to kill with only 2 rangers...
Mesmers: VoR turned into AoE monk insta-gib, Thunderclap = daze for mesmers, wheeee. I mean you already had problems with trigger on attack skills like ineptitude for the last 2 months and NOW you make a new metaskill thats like everything ineptitude was x4. Combined with the retardedness of way of the assassin, the new sinsplit is going to make what Mistral Edge ran during the crap meta months back look like a holiday postcard.
Eles: Thunderclap = mesmer skill, Master of Magic: something actually good that came out of this update.
Dervish: Wounding Strike is still hax, now we have onslaught, but it's not like Dervishes needed it with conjure WS and Heart of Fury anyway. Don't see anything too significant, but the imba with WS was left untouched.
Assassins: Way of the Assassin just destroyed the game. GG wars.
Necros: Pain of Disenchantment = gg prot stack. 1s recharge on a full rend? Are you kidding me? AND aoe dmg?
War: Quivering Blade: Wow gg casters, divert RC = instant win.
Rit: Xinrae = probably needed in this meta now because damage is so retarded, this is probably the only thing thats going to stop the madness. Go go ritspike teams with Xin wep spike stoppers. Gust + spirit rift spike is coming back, gg HA.
Monk: Aura is decent, healburst maybe. But there is no way in hell monks are going to be able to deal with the retarded amount of condition pressure and damage in this meta. Go 3-5 min games. 600 health players? 800 damage pressure skills? Good idea! go go go.
~
Worst update ever. The whole meta just got flushed down the toilet. There's nothing even remotely close to balance leftover.

So i suppose that NPC's ganking is just lol exept thoose inside lord chamber which attacks you x) Hmm, the DPS on the Guild Lord is quite funny at the start which then again disencourages an early guild lord wipe. But if i see this right almost everyteam should be running snares to kill the runner to get the flag. Since VoD is removed partywipes isnt that common. And going for an attack on the lord for doing dmg not killing looks like better than trying to kill the opposite team :/ - Altough i suppose split teams i gonna get hyper ammagd wtf. It is gonna be hard to kill the guild lord , but doing enuff dmg then you can just turtle in till 28min suppose this wont work or? will be funny to see how the VoD will be
also i suppose getting a draw will be aviable now or?

Anet usage of GW as sandbox trial for GW2 is on the border of abuse. It may be the case that they already passed that border.
It is too bad, cause they had always been fair to their customers and provided good value for money and lots of fun.

Indeed, matches now aren't more than 7min, for arenas it's _impossible_ for a monk to survive whithout guardian 100% of the time + disciplined/shield stance, haven't played against VoR yet, but VoR + incendiary arrows + Way of the OP = gg

Draws are impossible unless if you somehow magically deal the exact number of damage to each other's lords.
Which is basically impossible thanks to them beating each other up with random damage numbers.

That's a shame really, arena monk builds are lame. Might even consider not taking any monks at all and add more wtfloldamage :P.

What if noone attacks the guild lord, upps the other guild lord attack him^^ But say if booth Guild Lords are Blinded, altough they will hit throu sometimes.. Hmm suppose it tecnicallly impossible :/
Also VoD Wipe? Ppl have said you must run more offensive builds etc , cant you just make like 5x Savannah Heat 3x Monks - Wait til VoD, Then just do so much damage to the opposite guild lord (not kill him i suppose) but just do so much then at 28min you win bceause you did most dmg :/ Then again you can play defensivelly like F***

If you aggro the walking GLs and each team never does damage to them, you might get a draw.... but that would have to be intentional. (Introducing IDs to the GvG tourney scene?)

lol so vamp spirit doesnt set your regen at that, it gives you +regen = to the damage it does. So if it does 45 damage, you get +45 health regeneration.
i lol'd.

Why do people keep saying this? What exactly are they testing for GW2 in GW?

I think this change will make GvG staler than it already was. It will usher in a new wave of 7/1 splits with one lone ganksman trying to degen the lord and the rest desperately trying to prevent morale boosts. Not that I'm lamenting the end of VoD farming builds.

Possibly GvG game ending mechanics considering GvG is in GW2.
